Taya hails from House Fleureaux, a Sharlayan noble house headed by none other than Countess Odette Fleureaux, widow and Archon.Located on the Isle of Haam, they have maintained their social status in the progressive city-state primarily by way of philanthropist pursuits; their standing is further reinforced by the phytology research stemming from the family owned botanical gardens and vineyards.This apple did not land far from the arboretum.As Countess Fleureaux mastered in aethero-ecophysiology, this budding geologist is leapfrogging off the seeds of her mother’s research into aethero-paleoecology - the study of a region’s historic aether levels via aetheric analysis of fossil and rock strata.Working as the acting liaison in Eorzea for her family organization, an abundance of archaeological and geological expeditions now lays ahead of her.

Taya is an Eorzean history buff who loves getting her hands dirty during archeological and geological digs. She has several of these planned, but lacks local expertise.
She's a naturalized Sharlayan citizen, Bibliothec-aligned, and is currently working on a graduates degree.
The Thalian Circle is a Sharlayan organization with a vested interest in Eorzean field research. Taya is receiving financial assistance from them - granted that they share in any discoveries of note.

Taya was adopted during her infancy into the Fleureaux household.
Taya is legally blind! While her spectacles assist her vision, she still struggles with distance.
